The Art of Ciane Xavier
Ciane Xavier, a Brazilian-born, Philippine-based artist always thinks of ways to create art and blend innovation to add value to her work. Ms. Xavier adopts digital technologies like Zbrush for digital sculpting and 3D printing then oil painting to create out of this world sculptures.
Letting the viewers of her work unlock the power of the imagination by looking at the made-up concept into reality base on the viewer’s perspective. Her artworks are not your typical human sculptures, Ciane Xavier’s universe is a dominion of human reflections lost in the conquest of their true selves. Xavier’s style of decorative art is defined by fanciful humans, animal forms often interwoven with foliage or similar figures that may distort the natural into absurdity, or caricature.
Who am I? Who are you?
Creating sculptures from 3D digital modeling software allows the most realistic freehand sculpting in a digital space. With the aid of this software, details are easily captured and ideas seamlessly translate into a digital canvas. Turning digital images such as those done in Zbrush or CAD software are then translated into the physical realm through 3D Printing. Ms Xavier utilizes her several Ultimaker 3D Printers as a tool to bring her ideas and creations to life.
3D technologies are synonymous with endless possibilities in terms of the creation of realism in art. In an increasing generation who grew up with 3D outputs a bit of everywhere, such as video games, movies, simulators, etc. For us, using 3D technology has just been a natural choice.
