Ultimaker Nylon Transparent 2.85 mm is an official engineering-grade filament in a natural, translucent tone that combines the toughness, flexibility, and wear resistance of nylon with colour neutrality. Transparent nylon is ideal for applications where the colour of the final part needs to remain neutral, or where a degree of light transmission adds aesthetic or functional value. It is well suited for functional prototypes, living hinges, snap-fit components, and mechanical parts in environments where black would be too stark or obstructive.
Like all nylon filaments, this material is hygroscopic and should be stored in a sealed, dry environment to prevent moisture uptake between print sessions. Printing requires a heated bed, a stable environment, and ideally a dry-box or spool dryer. Tested and Cura-optimised for Ultimaker 2+ and S series. Also available in Black (210000001138) for UV resistance and a professional appearance.
