Printing Recommendations
- The inclusion of glitter dust makes the raw, un-melted filament strands significantly more rigid and brittle than traditional PLA. Take care when routing it through tight Bowden tube arcs or reverse-Bowden setups, as forcing the filament through aggressive bends can cause it to snap inside your feeding line before reaching the extruder.
- While the infused glitter particles are ultra-fine and designed to melt smoothly, they can pool and cause pressure jams if squeezed through microscopic restrictions. To completely eliminate clogging risks
- Although it is nowhere near as abrasive as carbon fiber or glass fiber composites, the glitter powder introduces a minor level of surface friction over time. For casual use, a standard brass nozzle is perfectly adequate, but switching to a hardened steel nozzle is recommended if you plan on running multiple kilograms of this specialty material back-to-back.
