The Ultimaker S8 is a high-speed industrial solution that leverages the revolutionary Cheetah motion system to achieve printing speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration of 50,000 mm/s², effectively quadrupling productivity compared to its predecessors. It features a generous 330 x 240 x 300 mm build volume and a dual-extrusion system capable of handling over 300 engineering-grade materials, including reinforced composites, at temperatures up to 340 °C. Equipped with high-flow AA+ and CC+ cores that provide 2.5 times more flow and an advanced quad-core processing system, it ensures exceptional precision and dimensional accuracy for complex functional prototypes. The integration of a flexible PEI build plate, active bed leveling, and a built-in Air Manager that removes 95% of ultrafine particles further solidifies its position as a robust, reliable, and enterprise-ready platform for rapid manufacturing.

Cheetah motion planner

The Cheetah motion planner is a sophisticated firmware-level algorithm designed to maximize the speed and precision of high-end 3D printing systems. Unlike traditional motion planners that may cause vibrations or “ringing” when accelerating quickly, Cheetah uses advanced look-ahead logic and jerk-control algorithms to handle extreme dynamics—often reaching accelerations of up to 50,000 mm/s².

Dual High Flow Print Cores

The dual extrusion design works together with software and firmware features to allow you to combine any 2 materials no matter how different they are, which low material waste and high reliability. The specialized extrusion components developed for the S8 platform to translate its high-speed motion into actual material throughput.

Flexible Build Plate

Skip using glue and remove parts effortlessly with the PEI-coated flexible build plate. Its patent-pending design uses 25 magnets and 4 pins for perfect alignment – reducing the time spent using the S8 and increasing productivity.
