Introducing ESUN PLA-GF
  • Engineered for superior structural integrity, this glass fiber-reinforced PLA filament seamlessly blends exceptional impact resistance with effortless printability. It is the ultimate choice for mechanical prototypes demanding rigorous rigidity and high shock absorption. Thanks to its excellent wear resistance, this material excels at producing durable gears and temporary functional components that stand up to continuous mechanical friction without losing their dimensional precision.
High Flexural Modulus (Resistance to Deformation
  • Adding glass fibers pushes the flexural modulus of the material up to around 4,400 MPa. This ensures that printed parts resist bending, twisting, or warping when exposed to constant, heavy mechanical loads.

Superior Impact Toughness
  • Carbon fiber composites can sometimes become brittle and snap under sudden shock. Glass fibers, however, excel at dissipating impact energy throughout the internal plastic matrix. This gives PLA-GF an exceptionally high Izod impact strength (around 10.16 kJ/m²), allowing it to absorb sudden hammer-like blows or drops without structural failure.

Excellent Surface Wear Resistance
  • The embedded fiberglass matrix dramatically improves the surface hardness of the plastic. This high wear resistance makes the material highly effective for low-speed, high-torque mechanical applications like customized gears, pulleys, and robotic linkages that must survive heavy face-to-face friction.

Printing Recommendations
  1. PLA-GF line has strong rigidity and is not easy to bend. In the feeding pipeline, excessive bending of filament should be avoided as far as possible

  2. PLA-GF is very easy to grind the nozzle and extruder gear. It is recommended to use hardened steel nozzle or ruby nozzle. If conditions permit, hardened steel extruder gear can be selected. If the printing time is long and the plug occurs, the throat and nozzle need to be replaced

  3. The blowing fan can be properly turned off to improve the model strength
