The Intamsys PPS is a polyphenylene sulfide based high performance filament. It is a high-temp engineering polymer with a semi-crystalline structure. The material offers superior mechanical and physical properties and is widely used in a variety of fields. The ability of long-term operation at 200 °C and chemical and corrosion resistance make it highly suitable for automotive, aerospace, and oil and gas industries.
High dimensional stability, excellent dielectric strength, and flame retardance allow for the use of PPS in electrical and electronic sectors. It is the material of choice whenever the printed part requires tight tolerances and good electrical insulation properties. PPS is also used for fabrication of home appliances, medical devices, and more.
Like other high-temp thermoplastics, the Intamsys PPS requires special printing conditions. The 3D printer should be capable of supporting the extruder temperature of 315–345 °C and be equipped with a heated print bed and a fully enclosed print chamber.
