Automatic material handling

Designed to be left unattended, the Material Station allows the UltiMaker S8 to 3D print longer – day or night. Loading material into the Material Station takes seconds – not minutes. Simply open the door and drop the spool into a bay. During a print, any spool not in use can be switched out. is an integrated humidity-controlled unit that transforms the system into a continuous production powerhouse by housing up to six spools in a front-loading bay. It features active humidity control that maintains an internal environment below 25% relative humidity, ensuring that technical materials like PC and CPE+ remain dry and ready for high-speed extrusion.

Cheetah motion planner

The Cheetah motion planner is a sophisticated firmware-level algorithm designed to maximize the speed and precision of high-end 3D printing systems. Unlike traditional motion planners that may cause vibrations or “ringing” when accelerating quickly, Cheetah uses advanced look-ahead logic and jerk-control algorithms to handle extreme dynamics—often reaching accelerations of up to 50,000 mm/s².
