The MAPÚA Cardinal One Team made a trip to visit Puzzlebox 3D which was part of a long laurel collaboration with Puzzlebox 3D based on the aspects of the innovation-engineering excellence-student led-motorsports development. This visit even strengthened the collaboration of Puzzlebox 3D and MAPÚA Cardinal One which has been the year-long activity, providing the team with engineering redesign and track practice.
What We Did
During the visit, the MAPÚA Cardinal One Team engaged with the Puzzlebox 3D team to explore how advanced 3D printing and digital fabrication technologies can support competitive vehicle development. This ongoing partnership has extended beyond facility visits, with Puzzlebox 3D consistently supporting MAPÚA Cardinal One during their track practices by providing moral and manufacturing support, and access to advanced tools throughout the
Highlights of the Event
TA major highlight of the partnership is Puzzlebox 3D’s sponsorship of a Bambu Lab X1E, which is solely for the MAPÚA Cardinal One Team usage. This printer is paramount in getting and perfecting the bits and pieces of the team’s student-engineered vehicle that is participating in the Shell Eco-marathon, which is a world-wide contest that not only grants the teams the title of being the greatest energy-efficient vehicles' designers, builders, and drivers but actually makes them active partners in working towards a greener planet. Through the use of 3D printing for fast trials and performance improvement, the collaboration enables MAPÚA Cardinal One to rise to a new level of competition whilst at the same time providing engineering students with a taste of the real-world scaling with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
