Application Spotlight – 3D scanned and 3D printed ear

Traumatic amputation of the ear, auriculectomy, unsatisfactory autologous reconstruction, and untreated microtia/anotia are conditions that are commonly corrected with our prosthesis symmetry process. With the help of 3D scanning, 3D printing, and Silicone Molding the Prosthetic Ear was done accurate and natural.
This process involves 3D scanning and 3D printing to accomplish. First, the ear will be scanned using Einscan 3D scanner and then will be mirrored to symmetrically fit the other ear. After the scanning process, it will be 3D printed using Formlabs 3D printer in the fine setting and then the 3D printed model will be use as a mold for the silicon ear prosthetic.
